FIRE ADVISORY NO LONGER IN EFFECT
Smoky Lake County has REMOVED the"Fire Advisory" effective 10:00 am June 28, 2016.
Smoky Lake County has removed the existing fire advisory. Moisture conditions have improved in the last weeks. Burn permits for brush fires etc are still required, and will be issued by County Fire Guardians, and may still require an inspection before issuance.

Notice to Residents
Smoky Lake County is responsible for maintenance of all Road Right-of-ways which measures a minimum of 66 feet from property line to property line. As previously communicated – any type of farming procedure is prohibited within this right-of-way. Persons conducting prohibited actions within County Right-of-way are subject to fines under Bylaw #1241-12 “Respecting Road Right-of-way”. Example: seeding and/or cultivating up to the shoulder of a road.
