Victoria District Economic Development Strategy

Following extensive public participation and input, as well as a Public Hearing held at the June 26, 2020 Joint Meeting of the Town of Smoky Lake and Smoky Lake County, the Victoria District Economic Development Strategy was adopted as a long term vision. The Strategy proposes to move forward as a concept to support and develop tourism in the Smoky Lake region, focused on the key pieces of: Experiential Education + Heritage + Nature + Agriculture + Culture + Food & Drink.

'What we Heard' Report 


Since June 2020, the Town and County have been developing a Business Plan which will be shared shortly, and available for further public input ahead of a Public Hearing to be held at the end of November.
