Coyote Reduction Program

Smoky Lake County supports local agricultural producers through its Coyote Reduction Program, fully funded by the Alberta Professional Outfitters Society’s Wildlife Management Fund. The program offers compensation for coyotes harvested within the County and ensures proper verification by having staff remove the left front paw. This process maintains program integrity while adhering to environmental and safety standards.

This program is made possible with partnership from the Alberta Professional Outfitters Society.
