Held at the National Hall in Smoky Lake
The exhibition “The War Is Not Over Yet” is dedicated to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war, as it highlights the magnitude of the humanitarian catastrophe, the extent of horrors inflicted by Russia, and the stories of courageous Ukrainians whose lives were ruthlessly taken — or forever altered — by this war.
The exhibition features stories of brave Ukrainians who have survived Russian missile attacks, or brutal imprisonment by Russian forces, or became victims of atrocious Russian war crimes, or sacrificed their lives on the frontlines, while fighting for Ukraine’s freedom and future —and many others. Its purpose is to remind everyone that the war is indeed still going on — and it is as brutal as ever, and Ukraine still needs strong support of its allies and diasporas. As well as to remind everyone that If Russia stops fighting, the war ends — but if Ukraine stops fighting, there will be no more Ukraine.
Another purpose of this exhibition is to commemorate and honour courageous Ukrainian and foreign defenders, who have sacrificed their lives in the fight against the Russian invaders, as well as countless innocent civilians whose lives were brutally taken by Russia.
This exhibition is suitable for a wide range of age categories, and is entirely appropriate for viewers over 12 years old. For anyone younger than 12, we highly recommend parents accompanying the child at all times, and letting them view the exhibition at their discretion.
